Date: Thursday, December 3, 2009 Time: 6-8:30pm **The Tree Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6:30pm.** Location: Gilbert Civic Center North Campus, 50 E Civic Center Drive Gilbert will kick off the holidays at the Town’s second annual Gilbert’s Holiday Nights of Lights on Thursday, December 3, at the Gilbert Municipal Center lawn, 50 E. Civic Center Drive, near Warner and Gilbert roads. Gather with family and friends for the lighting of the Town’s 28-foot tree at 6:30 p.m and experience ground displays, community entertainment, sweet treats and a visit from Santa.
New to the event this year is an 1,800-square-foot Chick-fil-A skating rink, a “green” rink made of eco-friendly synthetic hybrid-ice. Tickets to use the rink at half-hour intervals are $5 and sold at the event. Ice skates will be provided. Participants must be 5 years of age and 38 inches tall to skate. Event parking is free.
