Welcome to the Gilbert Municipal Court, Gilbert, Arizona.

This Court handles the following types of cases:

  • misdemeanor criminal offenses, such as Driving Under the Influence, Shoplifting, Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Dog at Large, municipal code violations and commercial vehicle violations; and
  • protective orders, such as Orders of Protection and Injunctions Against Harassment; and
  • civil traffic violations, such as Speeding, No Insurance, Seatbelt violations, Improper Turns, and Child Restraint violations.

Please note there are fees that must be paid in advance whether you are filing your records request via fax, mail, or in person.

· The Town Attorney may review all public records requests before the request is processed pursuant to Arizona law.

NOTE: The Gilbert Municipal Court does not accept case-related motions, requests for continuances, or any other case filing to be done by phone or e-mail at this time.

If your concern is not addressed by the information on this website, we encourage you to fax or mail your request to us in writing so that our staff may review the issue in a timely manner. Always provide a return address, phone number, and fax number (if applicable) so that our staff can contact you expeditiously if necessary.  

If your concern is one that must be addressed by a judge, such as a continuance request or a case-related motion, you will receive the judge’s ruling by mail. This may take a week or longer due to the volume of motions the Court must process. If you do not receive the judge’s ruling by mail before your scheduled court proceeding, you should appear in court as originally scheduled.
