Welcome. Housing / Community Development is part of the Development Services Department. This site offers programs and assistance services. The Housing and Community Development staff assists with completing Gilbert Community Services funding process for non-profit agencies, administers the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) and participates in the Maricopa Association of Governments’ Human Services Technical Committee.

FUNDING PROCESS
Gilbert has a single application process for nonprofit activities. The types of activities that are currently supported by Gilbert are social services, arts and culture, affordable housing, public facilities, and economic development. Our mission is to provide eligible residents of Gilbert with assistance in housing repairs, homeownership opportunities and supportive services that help prevent homelessness, assist senior citizens and promote neighborhood upkeep.
