Heritage District Redevelopment Home Page

Back

Welcome.  Gilbert’s redevelopment activities are focused on Gilbert’s historic downtown. The major emphasis of Gilbert’s redevelopment program is to attract people generating uses that will stimulate growth and provide an identity for the area.  By maintaining appropriate uses in the District the area will continue to remember the past while imagining the future.  The ultimate goal for the Heritage District is to maintain the emphasis on its small town character while always striving to improve the economic vitality of the District.

The Executive Summary of the Redevelopment Plan presents a concise listing of the goals and expectations for the area.  Please refer to the full Gilbert Heritage District Redevelopment Plan for a more detailed accounting of the redevelopment area and the redevelopment process.
